OUR FOUNDER'S STORY
Dangwa Consulting's mission goes beyond nonprofit advisory and recruitment - it's about empowerment, support, and rewriting narratives. As the founder, I rely on my faith and bring a deeply personal perspective to our work.
My Journey
Having experienced the harsh realities of human trafficking and the challenges of navigating the US job market as a newcomer and 1st generation immigrant, I understand firsthand the importance of guidance and support during the transition period. The absence of mentorship and proper support in my early years, cost me eight precious years in the diaspora, hindering my financial, mental, and emotional well-being.
Despite holding a diploma, a degree and experience from esteemed institutions in Zimbabwe and the UK, I found myself undervalued and exploited in my early years in the US job market. The lack of resources and intentionally relevant guidance left me vulnerable to exploitation, leading to a detrimental impact on my early career and overall well-being.
Empowering Others
Driven by my own experiences as a philanthropist and 1st-generation immigrant, I am committed to ensuring that nonprofit leaders are equipped to effectively run their nonprofits and immigrant professionals receive the support and resources they need to thrive in their new environment within the critical first three years of arrival. Our company is dedicated to providing not just access to resources for our nonprofit leaders and job placements for our candidates, but holistic coaching, mentorship, and advocacy to empower individuals to build successful, fulfilling careers in the US.
A Message of Hope
At Dangwa Consulting, we believe that every individual deserves a fair chance to succeed and thrive. By sharing my story and founding this company, I aim to be the guiding hand that I needed during my own journey, helping others transition into their leadership roles with confidence, dignity, and resilience.
