Our Drive

Our founder's personal journey, marred by adversity and exploitation upon arrival in the US, fuels our commitment to providing essential support to immigrant professionals, so they can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society. Drawing from nearly 30 years of experience in various sectors in the US, our founder is on a mission to empower nonprofit leaders offering the guidance and resources that were lacking during her own challenging transition, creating a brighter future for those we serve.  Learn more bout her story here.

Immigrant Workforce Stats

These statistics highlight the increasing educational attainment of newcomers to the US in recent years, showcasing the trend towards a more highly educated immigrant population in the country.

  • According to the Migration Policy Institute, the educational attainment of immigrants in the United States has been rising steadily over the past few decades. As of 2018, around 31% of immigrants ages 25 and older had a bachelor's degree or higher, compared to only 13% in 1980.
  • A report by the Pew Research Center found that recent immigrants to the US are more likely to be college-educated than those who arrived in previous decades. In 2017, 48% of newly arrived immigrants ages 25 and older had a college degree, compared to 27% of newly arrived immigrants in 1990.
  • Data from the US Census Bureau shows that immigrants play a significant role in advanced education in the US. In 2019, immigrants made up 28% of all graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
  • The National Center for Education Statistics reports that foreign-born students in the US are more likely to attain a bachelor's degree or higher compared to their US-born counterparts. In 2018, 36% of foreign-born adults had a bachelor's degree or higher, compared to 32% of US-born adults.
